The latest offering from Swimming Tapes is taken from their upcoming debut album Morningside, due for release on May 24^th 2019, through Hand In Hive. ‘Passing Ships’ is serene and mellow, with soft guitar arpeggios providing a bed for the delicate lead vocal melodies that give the piece its alluringly catchy core. The vintage equipment used throughout the album's recording can be heard through the sepia-tone of the track, with the Marc Corrigan (not that Mark Corrigan) shot video complimenting this retro sound by interspersing video clips that match the ships of the track's title, with vintage live footage. -Dan Peeke
